Little Friends For Peace successfully equipped about 15 local adults and college students with skills to teach and practice peace during this Saturday's Peace Academy training. This particular session was rooted in the teachings of founders MJ and Jerry Park's newest workbook, "Live Peace, Teach Peace."
After cooperative games like Dr. Untangle, activities like Peace Pie Trouble Cake, and a grounding in the philosophy of inner peace and empathy development, participants left expressing joy, excitement and motivation to contribute their skills to the worldwide peace effort. "We are on the way to building a culture of peace," MJ said. "Join LFFP and join the campaign to build a culture of peace." The next training will take place Feb. 20 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Peace Room in the Perry Community Center. The cost is $45 per participant, but LFFP volunteers can attend free.
