LFFP offers peace circles that provide adults and young adults the opportunity to explore their personal need for peace, to identify what prevents them from reaching peace, and to equip them with skills to overcome obstacles to inner and interpersonal peace. Trained staff members facilitate circles for individuals and communities through churches, neighborhood groups, community centers as well as established restorative programs, such as the Father McKenna Center, N St. Village, and various prisons in Maryland.

Restorative Programming |
Collaborating with neighborhood groups, church communities, and affinity groups, LFFP facilitates peace circles that provide time for reflection and relationship building. These peace circles encourage adults to identify what they need to help increase the peace in their lives, what they can do to support each other, and how they can grow peace in their communities.

College students are exposed to pervasive violence today, through their families and communities, technology, gaming and social media, and this culture of violence spills over into our schools. Levels of anxiety, depression, incidents of suicide, and campus violence are reaching unprecedented levels. Campus health, counseling clinics, and campus administration are not equipped to support students facing this endemic culture of violence and college students themselves lack the social and emotional learning(SEL) skills to cope on their own.

In service to area shelters, prisons, neighborhoods, and transitional programs, LFFP brings its curriculum to those striving to transform their lives and re-discover their peace. These peace circles offer adult participants a safe place to discuss problems, learn tools such as the Peace Train and Wellness Wheel, and practice finding peace within themselves.
