Volunteer

Our vision is made possible thanks to the dedication and support of our mentors. We offer a variety of opportunities for interested volunteers to serve with us in all of our different programs. These include our after-school and in-school programs, as well as our adult and community-based programs. Volunteers get the chance to learn about peace and conflict resolution, work one on one with youth, and become part of our loving and wonderful LFFP family. Together we create an opportunity for both volunteers and participants to experience, learn, and practice peace.

Mentors are empowered to:
  • Support our participants as they become peacemakers·
  • Contribute their talents and interests to develop peace lessons
  • Employ nonviolent conflict resolution to serve as role models for others
Becoming a Volunteer
To become a volunteer, you must:
  1. Be at least 15 years old
  2. Complete the Volunteer Application
  3. Attend a Volunteer Orientation (One-on-One orientations available by request)
  4. Attend Peace Academy (Optional but highly encouraged)
Upcoming Volunteer Orientations:
We currently don't have any orientations scheduled.

If you have registered to be a volunteer but cannot attend one of the general volunteer orientations, please contact volunteer@lffp.org to schedule a one-on-one meeting to fulfill the orientation requirement.
Volunteer Opportunities
We have weekly volunteer opportunities as well as one-time opportunities. Check below for our current programs and volunteer offerings!

"LFFP has brought so much joy into my life, and it has given me hope for a peaceful future. I am so grateful to be able to connect with the kids and fellow volunteers. Together, we practice lifelong tools of peace that have the power to change the lives of children and ultimately the world. I feel blessed to be a part of the LFFP family."

"LFFP is the highlight of my week. Even when I am having my worst day, seeing the kids makes it infinitely better!"
