Our Mission
LFFP is dedicated to interrupting a culture of violence by teaching skills that prevent, resolve, and transform conflict. We believe that learning and practicing peace tools at any age can effectively counteract violence.
Our Vision
We envision a world where relationships are rooted in respect and acceptance, conflicts lead to reconciliation, and everyone is safe, cared for, and empowered to realize their full and unique potential.
What We Do
Our curriculum equips participants to experience, learn, and practice peacemaking skills through our signature Peace Circles — a judgment-free space to share what is bringing us peace and breaking our peace. We teach and practice peace tools and conflict resolution skills to foster self-awareness, empathy, and non-violent communication.
Everyone involved with LFFP — staff, students, volunteers, interns, retreatants — are constantly being formed by our Peace Academy curriculum. Every Peace Circle is an opportunity to learn from each other as we work towards becoming a beloved community of intergenerational, interracial, international, and interfaith violence interruptors.
