This spring, Little Friends For Peace will be offering internships in Media and Communications, and Database and Development. See descriptions of each below. Interns must be able to commit 6 to 10 hours a week which includes assisting with the afterschool program. These positions are unpaid unless otherwise noted. Nonprofit experience is a plus but not required.
LFFP seeks motivated self-starters who will work part-time to assist LFFP in a variety of fields. Interns should be effective communicators with time management skills. Administrative Management Internship Open Position!
LFFP's Administrative Management Intern will work as an assistant to LFFP's director MJ Park and will help with a variety of office work and other organizational needs. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, helping manage schedules, checking and returning e-mails, assisting with prepping materials, helping to manage list serves, reviewing program requests and applications, and helping with other database and document creation. Media and Communications Internship Closed
LFFP's Media and Communications Intern will be responsible for working with our Media director to document LFFP's work via photography and video, update LFFP social media sites, create and send out monthly newsletters, and help to create and distribute other publicity materials. This is a perfect internship for someone who loves being behind the camera and who is tech savvy. This intern's time will be split between doing background computer work and visiting LFFP's many sites to capture the amazing moments happening every day. Program Development Internship Open Position!
LFFP's Program Development Intern will work with LFFP staff to help with the operation, growth, and continued development of LFFP Programs including, but not limited to, our youth after-school clubs, our in-school classes, our adult Peace Academy, and our Young Leaders in Action program. Responsibilities may include helping create literature about programs, doing out reach to new sites and prospective partner organizations, and helping with the hands on offering of programs. Database and Development Intern Open Position!
The Database and Development Intern will work on projects such as organizing the donor database and assisting the Development Coordinator with researching potential donors. They will work directly with the Communications and Media Intern to ensure that email blasts and other material is sent to the proper individuals.
