LFFP is excited to release the 2012 Summer Peace Camp schedule. This year, we hope to return to El Salvador. We will expand our longstanding partnership with camps at UUCA Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington) to three weeks of camp,as well as at Perry Center, and two weeks in Mount Rainier. We will resume our partnerership with Christ Congregational Church in Silver Spring. And for the third year, we will work with TASSC families from around the world and hold a peace camp in Cheverly, MD.

Summer Camp Sites
We are currently serving 400 elementary and junior high aged children and 150 service learning adults each summer. Youth of all ages enjoy our summer day programs, which include structured and creativity stimulating activities spanning various art and recreation venues.
Each day is a new adventure as youth participate in games, songs, crafts, and presentations that affirm their spirits.

Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington (UUCA)
Children of UUCA community members and from low-income communities across the DC metropolitan area are invited to three weeks of day camps, held at UUCA off Route 50 in Arlington. -
Perry School
At-risk children and teens enrolled in Perry Center, Inc.’s six-week summer camp engage in peace classes every day of the program as well as weekly peace field trips, most often visiting the Colonial Farm, the Oasis and Bladensburg Waterfront Park.. -
Beacon House
At-risk children and teens of DC’s Ward 5 are welcomed to six weeks of the Monday Night Peace Hour summer enrichment series. -
Encounter the Gospel of Life
LFFP hosts a justice and service week for East Coast Catholic teens who gather in DC for a week, engaging in service-learning by teaching our Sursum Corda peace children. -
Mt. Rainier
Elementary and middle school students from across Mt. Rainier and its surrounding communities are welcome to sign up for one week of peace camp held during the summer. - Peace Leaders Week: designed specifically for older campers to learn peace skills and become junior counselors-in-training
