Receiving this award has motivated the Parks to make their dream of creating the Peace Education Oasis a reality.
MJ & Jerry have heard a call to provide people thirsting for peace with a Peace Education Oasis. They have found a wooded 5-acre property in Piscataway National Park (20 miles south of Washington, DC)
- a home whose rooms will become a spacious meeting/dining area, a peace museum and a peace library that accommodate small group 'home bases', a small group or family sleeping area
- a heated garage for young large-group activities, art/work shop and bike shop
- a windowed garage that will become a hermitage/prayer room
- a mini-barn and pasture for small animals
- a fenced garden and a play field
- one mile from the Colonial Farm and organic garden staffed by educators from the Accokeek Foundation
