ARLINGTON, Va. (WUSA9) — It's summer time and kids are out of school, but one group of Arlington youth is still trying to learn a valuable lesson, that of building peace.
The Little Friends for Peace organization held two week-long camp sessions in Arlington for kids to learn through music, art and games to make the world a little bit more peaceful.
The camp also aims to empower our next generation of leaders with tools and practices to solve problems non-violently and foster empathy and compassion for others.
Each camp session ended with a showcase put on by the kids with performances, songs and skits at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington.
