Carolina's Experience
by LFFP engageDC Volunteer, Gabriella M.

What inspired you to join LFFP?
“Coming from Brazil where I have worked previously with children and peacemaking methods, I wanted to continue [teaching peace] and LFFP was the perfect fit! I know that I can definitely take some of the techniques I learned with LFFP back to my previous organization.”

Why do you think it’s important for children to learn peaceful actions?
“Children are the future, and when you teach them the best practices and methods they’ll absorb it like a sponge and carry it with them for the rest of their lives, sparking new changes in others, inspiring them to also become peaceful. And who knows? The child I work with today may become the next peaceful leader in the world.”

How have you benefited from working with LFFP?
“I can easily say that working with the awesome LFFP team has helped me become an even more peaceful person. Not only do I feel happier and more relaxed after working with LFFP, but I also feel like I too, a college student, am able to carry on the practices we teach the children and employ it in my own life.”
