Alpha Phi Omega is a national coeducational service organization founded on the principles of Leadership, Friendship and Service. It provides its members the opportunity to develop leadership skills as they volunteer on their campus, in their community, to the nation, and to the organization. Beacon House
Beacon House is a nonprofit, community based organization that provides tutoring, mentoring, cultural, athletic, recreational and nutritional programs to at-risk children, ages 5-18, who reside in and around the Edgewood Terrace community in Ward 5 of Washington, D.C. We help at-risk youth to identify and pursue educational objectives and prepare them for productive involvement in their community and society.

This is an Intentional Eucharistic Community, a small faith community rooted in the Catholic tradition that gathers weekly to celebrate Eucharist. The DC Peace Team collaborates with LFFP to do the Bystander Intervention Training. It cultivates and sustains a culture of nonviolent peacemaking by developing trusting relationships, providing training/education in nonviolent conflict intervention skills and restorative justice, monitoring key areas of struggle in our communities, and accompanying school children through difficult neighborhoods.

Drum Lady Kristen Arant & Kweku Owusu
Kristen Arant is a drummer, musician, teacher, and organizer who lives and works in Washington DC. In 2005 she founded the Young Women’s Drumming Empowerment Project, a nonprofit that gives rise to young women’s self-esteem, creative self-expression, and positive development through drumming, poetry, movement, song, and performance. Kweku Owusu is a Ghanaian master drummer currently living in the DC area.

LFFP has an internship partnership with EMU. Eash semester, a student who is interested in conflict resolution and peacebuilding, is able to work with us and assist with administrative tasks and the afterschool program or Peace Camps.

The Georgetown medical experience is centered in "cura personalis" - care for the psychological, spiritual, social as well as physical well being of the person.
